A little bit about me 

Hello, my name is Carlee and  I am a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. I help individuals achieve their wellness goals by transforming their bodies and minds, all while promoting a healthy, balanced and happy lifestyle!

Let me begin by saying that I have been blessed with an amazing life, however, that doesn’t mean that I haven’t had challenges along the way. All throughout my childhood, adolescence and my young adult years,  although my life seemed great on the surface, internally I was unhappy and struggled in almost every phase of life.

​

  • Disordered eating

  • Obsessive calorie counting / yo-yo dieting

  • Weight gain 

  • Skin issues including acne and rashes

  • Hormonal struggles

  • Self-love

  • Toxic relationships 

  • Generalized & social anxiety

  • Depression

  • Brain fog

  • Constant exhaustion and fatigue

Throughout my middle school, high school and college years, I struggled with:

Through all of this, my confidence level diminished to the point where I avoided social situations with friends and family, wasn’t willing to date, had no interest in exercise, and didn’t know how to balance and enjoy my life. 

​

Senior year of college, I got involved in a new relationship that ended up being extremely unhealthy to the point where I constantly felt worthless and helpless. Little did I know that this experience would completely change me in every way. I graduated college and I knew I needed to stop this toxic relationship. With the support of family and friends, I finally found the strength to end it.

I was now on a new journey and trying to figure out where I wanted my life to go. I decided to move to NYC and began a new job. ​Although I made this big move, I was, once again, suffering from an unhealthy relationship with food, myself and the world around me.

​

After countless blood tests, doctors and searching for answers as to why I couldn’t lose weight, why my acne was so bad, why I had no energy, and why I had such anxiety and sadness, I still wasn’t getting any answers.

With the help from a few professionals and with digging deep into my soul, I finally realized the way to fix all of these struggles were tiny changes that I had to make within MYSELF.  I decided to take a full year focusing on me.

  • No dating.

  • No yo-yo diets. 

  • No distractions. 

  • No negativity.

​

I focused on MYSELF in a mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual way and it was the best decision I have ever made. Here I am, a few years later, about 35 + pounds down, clearer skin, no more brain fog, way more energy, less anxiety and depression and finally feeling a sense of balance and happiness in my life. 

I am now:

Eating foods and balanced meals that nourish my body 

Making food my friend, not the enemy 

Journaling

Yoga/Stretching each day

Lifting weights and exercising

Learning new things about myself each day

It was through this journey that I realized I was meant to share my experience and knowledge to help others, which is why I decided to become a Certified Nutrition Health Coach.
